Starting the Year with a BANG

New Years Fireworks at the Sydney Harbour
As you can see, I have been vacationing in Sydney, Australia. To be exact, for over a month. And I don't regret one single bit. Because look! I got to see my relatives, celebrate Christmas and New Years with most of my extended family, go sightseeing for the millionth time (because I'm always here for vacation), and catch the New Years fireworks celebration for the first time. For me and my family, we do not go out to celebrate New Years. We end up sitting on our couch all huddled up in blankets and sweaters with front row seats to our old ancient TV to view all the fireworks display that is displayed around the world.

New Years Eve Fireworks in Darling Harbour at 9pm
Sydney's fireworks display has always caught my attention, and guess what? I was able to experience it myself with front row seats in the huge park (I'm not sure where, but it's near Pyrmont and Darling Harbour) with people setting up tents and camera tripods to capture this once in a year experience. This year (or should I say last year for 2016? okay, my head hurts from all this 2016 and 2017 technicalities) was the year I was finally able to celebrate Christmas or New Years with my extended family because I finished college and had a whole lot of free time to go explore. So no school and no obligations (yet) means vacation time right? Right in my dictionary!

Anyway, thank you Sydney for the awesome fireworks celebration! I'm so glad I got to see it first hand with my family and get huddled up with all the people trying to get a glimpse of the spectacular display in the midst of the heat and humidity. Yes, sticky situation, I know. But that makes it all the more fun when trying to get back home!

Enough of the talk, and enjoy all the best pictures I took! Yes, there were blurry pictures, but I filtered them out. Haha

P.S. Some of the blurry pictures were added because I thought they looked really cool
